Waterflow Device Installation

Flooding caused by beaver damming can be addressed with pond leveler devices and culvert fences. These installations are more cost effective than yearly removal of beavers, and beavers are able to continue ecosystem improvement.

Eviction and Exclusion

Wildlife can decide to make their dens near or under human structures which can cause problems. We specialize in gentle, persuasive eviction followed by excluding access to the structure.

 Flexible Pond Leveler Installation

CHESTER, CT

A beaver dam built on this residential property resulted in the pond range spread and the depth of the water was threatening damage to back yard features including a foot bridge, lighting fixtures, and septic system. The successful installation of a pond leveler system resulted in lowering the water level by one foot thereby solving all concerns. The water receded as much as 6' in some areas, drying up the footpath and the area around outdoor lighting features.

Before beavers came, the pond was a big mud hole most of the year. Currently, the owners are once again enjoying the  bounty of wildlife that beaver residency brings - herons, wood ducks, mergansers, turtles, fish, otter -  but without the concern of flooding.

Evictions / Exclusions

CT SHORELINE

As the coyote population has increased, both gray and red foxes have moved their rearing dens closer to humans to seek protection for their kits. Some residents thoroughly enjoy watching these babies grow up, but in other cases this causes a problem for homeowners. Mammals have back-up den sites, so a gentle eviction is all that is required. To keep them or others from returning, exclusion wire is installed. These photos would also apply to skunk and woodchuck exclusions.
